Specializing in Smoke Systems for Radio Control Models

The Harris Smoke Pump can be setup two different ways to operate on your Radio System.
*Setup #1 If you would like your pump to operate from an auxiliary channel like Retract or Flap and turn on & off from a switch. Plug in your pump to a switch activated channel for example (retract/landing gear). Your pump will then turn on & off by operating the toggle switch for that channel. You can change the flow rate of the pump by accessing the ATV or End Point Adjustment from your transmitter. Too much fluid flow will cool the mufflers, reducing smoke clouds and wastes smoke fluid. Properly adjust fluid flow to make whiter clouds of smoke.
*Setup #2 Mixing throttle with your smoke channel. This method is used to activate the smoke system and when activated, the smoke system turns on when the throttle stick is advanced beyond a set point. Fluid flow will increase as throttle is advanced and decrease as throttle is lowered.
*Open a Mixing Program (1) Set throttle as master channel. (2) Set an auxiliary channel as a slave channel- for example retract/landing gear- (3) Increase the travel value of switch position 0 to maximum travel. (4) Leave the travel value of the switch position 1 at 0%. This will enable you to turn the pump on and off from your auxiliary switch. You can control when the pump comes on by changing the value of the offset. A low offset value will cause the pump to come on just off idle. You can increase the offset value to have the pump turn on at any stick position. This setup will increase fluid flow when throttle is advanced and reduced fluid flow when throttle is lowered so that the pump will provide a regulated amount of fluid according to throttle position. (5) If you need to adjust the maximum fluid flow you can do so by decreasing your ATV/End point adjustment on your slave channel.
